Audio equipment repair in Sofia

Audio gear rarely dies all at once. First a knob starts to crackle, then one channel goes quiet, then the unit drops into protection — and every one of those steps is a repair, not a reason to buy new.

In amplifiers the culprit is usually the power section. Electrolytic capacitors dry out, mains noise leaks into the output and you hear it as hum; further along, the unit trips into protection within the first minute. A full recap brings back both the silence between tracks and the power printed on the back panel.

The mechanism is a world of its own. On turntables and tape decks the rubber belts turn to tar and the tape stops moving evenly — you hear it as a wavering pitch. Belts, pinch rollers and styli are all still made, so this is a matter of setup rather than a hunt for a miracle.

What it covers

  • Output stage and protection relay repair
  • Cleaning and replacement of potentiometers, switches and inputs
  • Speaker repair — drivers, crossovers and foam surrounds
  • New belts, rollers and styli, mechanism setup on decks and turntables
  • CD player repair — optics, transport and power supply
